COURSE NUMBER: MCC 6901 TERM: Spring, Block II, 2004
Final version of Final Exam for Classification of Psychopathology (updated 4/18/04).
1 & 2. Provide a five-axes diagnosis (Axis I through V} for two (2) of the following individuals:
A. Adolf Hitler just prior to starting World War II.
3. In your opinion, what is the "worst" Axis I diagnosis one can have? Why?
4. In your opinion, what is the "worst" Axis II diagnosis one can have? Why?
Requirements: Typed, due no later than Friday, 4/30. Hand in at last class or send via email as a text, Microsoft Word or AppleWorks document. Does need to be well-organized, coherent and grammatically correct. Does not have to be in a formal format, APA or otherwise. Grading: 25 points for each question. 5 points for structure of essay (e.g., grammar, spelling, coherence), 20 points for content. Content points are figured thusly: For first 2 questions, 10 points for historic accuracy and how well you "fill in details" consistent with history, 10 points for how well you argue for the diagnoses. About half of the diagnosis points will be awarded based on your Axis I and/or Axis II diagnoses, however the other axes will count more if you make a good argument that they in fact contribute more to the overall "condition" of the examinee. Consider strengths, too! For the remaining two questions, scoring will be 5 points for structure of essay (e.g., grammar, spelling, coherence), and 20 points for general content. |
